The component Jcomments allows you to enter comments for each article.

It is maintained again, although not cited in the extensions on the Joomla website.

I have updated the component JComments on github:not found :jltry_jcomments: adapting it to Joomla_4.0

The fork was put back into the main branch not found :exstreme_jcomments:

 

 

I made the installation part compatible with joomla_4.x

 

I installed the Joomla_4.0 compatible version (Latest: 4.0.26)

developed by exstreme and hosted on github [JOOMLA_4.0_JCOMMENTS]

 

They have a method to migrate since Joomla 3.0 :

Migration from Jcomments 3

The  Joomlatune site references a version for Joomla 3.0 only.

make a backup of the site
- uninstall Jcomments 3 (your comments remain intact in the database)
- install Jcomments 4 and start repairing the database (if necessary)

Beware user access management has changed since Joomla_4.0. They must be reconfigured following a migration.
